NAM Profiles & Custom IRs

Professional Neural Amp Modeler profiles of real analog amplifiers and pedals, made in our own studio by session players and sound engineers. Every profile is trained at 1000 epochs for maximum accuracy and comes with Custom IRs from the same session, so you get the sound we heard in the room.

Why Boutique Tones for NAM

Only real gear. Every profile comes from original analog equipment. We don't profile modelers or plugins, and we don't use loadboxes: every amp is played through our own collection of cabinets, microphones and studio outboard.

Trained for accuracy. Our NAM profiles are trained at 1000 epochs, for the closest possible match to the real amp.

Made by players and engineers. Professional session players dial in and play the amps, sound engineers handle the profiling chain. The result sits in a mix the moment you load it.

Search less, play more. We select a small number of amps and pedals, and a small number of tones per pack. Each one has a clear purpose, so you spend your time playing, not auditioning.

Official artist packs. Some packs are made together with the artists who own the sound, and every official pack is approved by the artist or brand behind it: BT Justin Derrico, BT Eric Steckel and the official Mezzabarba packs.

DI Profiles and Custom IRs

Our NAM packs are DI Profiles: the amp is profiled on its own, and the cabinet comes as Custom IRs recorded in the same session and voiced for that amp. Start with our IRs to hear the reference sound of the pack, then swap them or use the amp with your own IR library. Several packs offer more than one cab option on the product page, from a curated essentials set to the original matching cabinet recreated as IRs. All our IRs are minimum phase, so they blend cleanly with each other and with third-party IRs.

A1 and A2 profiles

A2 is the newer NAM architecture, A1 the original one. Many of our packs include both, our latest packs are made in A2, and the product page shows which versions each pack includes. Check that your NAM player or device supports A2 before choosing an A2-only pack.

Where you can play them

  • NAM plugin, standalone or inside your DAW, on your computer.
  • Headrush Prime, Core and Flex Prime with firmware 5.1 or later: they play NAM profiles natively, A1 and A2, one profile at a time. Load the pack folder into the Neural Amp Modeler folder and the IRs into Impulse Responses/User.
  • Ampero II, II Stage and II Stomp, through their NAM integration: choose the Ampero version on the product page, which also includes preset templates.
  • Other NAM players and pedals should load our profiles, but we can't guarantee an identical result on hardware we don't test: some lower-powered devices reduce the profile resolution. To hear the reference sound, try the profiles first in the free NAM plugin.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I use your NAM profiles?

In the NAM plugin on your computer, standalone or in a DAW, and natively on Headrush Prime, Core and Flex Prime with firmware 5.1 or later. Ampero II users can choose the Ampero version of our packs, which works through the Ampero NAM integration. Other NAM players and pedals should load the files, but we can't guarantee an identical result on hardware we don't test.

Will they work on my NAM pedal?

If your pedal or modeler loads .nam files, our profiles should load too. We officially support the NAM plugin, Headrush Prime, Core and Flex Prime, and Ampero II. On other hardware we can't guarantee an identical result: some devices convert or reduce the profile to fit their processing power, which can change the sound. Try the profiles in the free NAM plugin first to hear how they are meant to sound.

Do your NAM packs work on Headrush?

Yes. Since firmware 5.1, Headrush Prime, Core and Flex Prime play NAM profiles natively, both A1 and A2, so our NAM packs load as they are. Copy the whole pack folder into the Neural Amp Modeler folder on the device, the IRs into Impulse Responses/User, then tap Sync. For now the unit loads one NAM profile at a time.

Do I need an IR?

Yes. Our NAM profiles are DI Profiles, so they need a cabinet IR after them. Every pack includes Custom IRs from the same profiling session, voiced for that amp: start with those to hear the sound of the pack, then feel free to try your own IRs.

What's the difference between A1 and A2 profiles?

A2 is the newer NAM architecture, A1 the original one. Many of our packs include both, and the product page shows which versions each pack includes. Check that your NAM player or device supports A2 before choosing an A2-only pack.

How do I load the packs?

Extract the ZIP file completely. Load the .nam files into your NAM player and one of the included WAV IRs into its cab or IR section. Our NAM Support Guide shows every step.

What input level should I use?

Set your input so that your hardest strums peak at about -6 dBFS. That's how we calibrate our profiles. There's no fixed number, because every guitar has a different output.

Are your packs on TONE3000?

No. Our packs are available only from our store, as an instant download after purchase.

Does my purchase include the other platforms?

Each purchase is for one platform, the one you choose on the product page. If you already own a pack and want it for another platform too, write to us: you get the same pack for the second platform at 50% off.

Can I hear a pack before buying?

Yes. Every product page has audio and video demos of the pack. We don't offer trials, and since these are digital files they can't be returned once downloaded, so take a listen to the demos and write to us if you are not sure which pack fits you.

Will my pack be updated?

When we update a pack, you receive an email and the update is free.
