BT SV Tea

17 profiles based on the Ampeg© SVT-VR, in 3 ready-to-play presets.

The vintage reissue of the amplifier that defined recorded bass sound. Three hundred watts of valve power, built to stay solid when pushed and to thicken rather than break up.

  • One preset per instrument, each with 8 preconfigured sounds: Precision-style bass, Jazz-style bass, Stingray-style bass. Load the one that matches the bass in your hands and the sound is already there
  • The matched cabinet, based on the Ampeg© 6x10 and captured in full: six microphones, 63 captures each across cones, positions and off-axis angles, the tweeter included. 379 IRs at 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz. We call it SV Tea Classic
  • On top of all of those, 3 custom IRs: ready-made blends of the same captures, so you can start from a finished cab voice instead of building one, anywhere between the full vintage rig and a more defined, contemporary presentation

The part of the bass sound that usually happens in a studio: direct tones, console preamp colour, compression, drive, fuzz and octave.

  • Series 1, the foundation. The clean direct signal, two console preamp voices, studio compression used as control and as colour, the classic direct-drive voice, and a long sustained tone
  • Series 2, the character. Preamp drive, three families of custom fuzz chains built in house, and octave textures
  • One of the sounds is the SVT voice itself, so the amp is represented inside the studio pack too

A bass tone only makes sense next to drums and guitars. Load a sound, hit play, and hear straight away whether it works where it actually belongs. Useful well past the first listen: for practice, for writing, and for testing a tone before a session. They come with the bundle, not with the single packs.

Direct
The clean, uncoloured signal. The reference point.
American console preamp Main
Based on the API© 3124. The biggest and most detailed capture set in the pack, adding weight and forward presence.
British console preamp Main
Based on the Neve© 1073. Warmer, rounder, more vintage in feel.
Studio compressor Main
Based on the Empirical Labs© Distressor. Controlled, even, radio-ready dynamics.
Studio compressor FX
The same unit used aggressively, as a colour rather than a corrective.
SVT Main
The amp voice inside the studio pack, for players who want valve weight without leaving the collection.
Bass driver Main
Based on the Tech 21© SansAmp Bass Driver. The classic direct-drive sound found on countless records.
Sustain
A long, singing, held tone for slower lines and melodic playing.

Preamp drive Main
Based on the DOD© 250 preamp and overdrive. Gritty, mid-forward, immediate.
Preamp drive FX
The same circuit pushed further as a texture.
Bass driver Sub
Direct drive with reinforced low end, for weight under a dense mix.
Fuzz
The core custom fuzz voice, thick and saturated.
Fuzz Bright
The same idea with more cut and definition.
Fuzz Octave *
Fuzz combined with octave for synth-like size.
Console preamp and Octave *
Cleaner octave textures with console colour.
Console preamp and Octave, filtered *
The most extreme voice in the collection, resonant and vocal.

The fuzz chains are Boutique Tones custom builds and routings, presented as original work.

* The octave sounds rely on pitch processing, which NAM and Tonex do not provide: on those two formats you get the captured profile without the octave on top. Every sound in the collection has been rebuilt platform by platform to go as far as each machine allows, so whatever you play on, you get the most it can give.

SV Tea: 17 DI Neural Captures. Bass Series 1 & 2: 11 DI Neural Captures. Get them all: 28. The 3 Custom IRs are included in every pack. Quad Cortex packs can be used on Nano Cortex, but only the Amp and Cab parts. Full presets with effects cannot be loaded, because Nano Cortex doesn’t support them right now.
