Captured at Sunset Sound
When we set out to create the BT Justin Derrico pack, we knew we had to do it right. That’s why we flew to Los Angeles and set up at the legendary Sunset Sound Studios, where albums by Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Prince, The Doors, and many more were brought to life.
For several days, we worked side by side with Justin inside those iconic rooms, profiling his personal analog rig – the exact one he uses for studio sessions, worldwide tours with P!nk, and live TV performances on The Voice.
We captured some of Justin’s most prized pieces, including:
• A custom Friedman BE-100, personally modified by Dave Friedman
• A vintage Marshall Plexi
• A Bogner Shiva, custom-tuned by Reinhold Bogner himself
• An Amplified Nation Wonderland Overdrive head
• His favorite cabinets: a Bogner 4x12, PRS 2x12, and Bogner 2x12
Tracked through Sunset’s legendary analog console – the same desk used on Van Halen records – and paired with a mix of vintage and modern gear, every nuance was captured.
Justin was there every day, playing, listening, and approving each take, so every profile feels both accurate and inspiring.
The result: three powerful packs that deliver the very tones he uses in the studio, on tour, and on the world’s biggest stages.
