The Sidecar is Hudson’s take on the classic 808 circuit, enhanced with a powerful two-band EQ inspired by vintage Studer consoles. It offers a wider gain range, bigger low-end, and greater headroom, covering overdrive, distortion, and even fuzz or boost at extreme settings. Germanium diodes in the clipping section provide a smooth, dynamic response, while the Baxandall EQ allows up to 15dB of cut/boost for precise yet musical tone shaping.
